break和rest的区别

break和rest名词都由“休息”的意思。但是break原意是“打断”，引申含义是在中间打断，休息一下，后面还要继续。比如课间休息、会议中间的休息、电视节目暂时中断等。rest表示的是工作、学习等累了，要休息。不表示休息之后还要接着做。

break的用法

(1)Class is over.Let’s have a break.下课了，让我们休息一下。

rest的用法

(3)You’d better get some rest if you’re driving back tonight.要是你今晚开车回来的话，最好休息一下。
